Overview: Livestock and Field Crops IPM

Farmers in the Northeastern region raise several types of livestock as well as the field crops that are used to feed them.

Livestock species include:

  • Cattled (dairy and beef)
  • horses
  • swine
  • poultry

Field crops include

  • field corn

  • soy

  • small grains (wheat, oats, rye, etc.)

  • alfalfa
  • other grass and legume forages

In this Center, the Livestock and Field Crops IPM Working Group holds primary responsibility for activities pertaining to community IPM.
